Capturing Moments

Solo Exhibition

17th March - 10th April

Margaret Christianson is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on metal sculpture and contemporary acrylic painting. Based in Coburg, Victoria, Australia, her inspiration comes from the natural environment, especially the vast and varied land and seascapes of Australia.

Travel is also an essential part of her artistic life, providing space for her to think and experience new sights, sounds, and feelings, all of which nourish her work. She works in acrylic paint and her style particularly highlighting the textural and decorative detail found in nature.

She designs and creates bespoke steel sculptures and steel wall panels all hand-cut with a hand-held plasma cutter and fused with a mig-welder in her home studio in Coburg, while a large portion of Margaret’s paintings are created while the artist is on her travels.
