Always looking for different ways to interpret and understand the world around me in my paintings and drawings. I use a variety of mediums such as acrylic paints, pens, and mixed mediums on canvas and paper to achieve these ideas.
While on holiday I have taken inspiration from the glorious flora and fauna of tropical Queensland especially around The Whitsundays area.

Biblio Art Prize 2020
Blarney Books & Art in Port Fair ran a fabulous art competition known as Biblio Art Prize. The fiction book I received was by Australian author Anna Krien – Act of Grace.
I was selected as one of the finalists and now happy to say it was bought by a Melbourne collector.
I read it then created this artwork River Crossing. Act of Grace is a beautifully written, but tragic and dark storytelling how the four protagonists are affected by their traumatic life experiences. I have depicted them as four living trees, whose intertwined branches and roots reflect their crossed paths and interconnected encounters. Each tree carries symbols telling of key events in the characters’ lives – look closely and the identity of each becomes clear. In order to heal all four must cross the swirling river of life.

While in Melbourne was in lockdown Covid19. I created this gallery of artwork from June to November. I am so thankful that I have my art and our home studio to work from.
